Independence Day celebration
"Touch the ground and feel the freedom" The 72th Independence Day was celebrated in Bal Niketan with patriotic fervour.Flag hoisting ceremony was done in the morning. The students sang the National Anthem and paid their respect to the National Flag with a salute. Cultural activities like Dance, Poems etc was performed by the children.Sweets were distributed to the children and the day ended with a proud feeling of being a free Indian.
Republic Day
Children and Management of Bal Niketan celebrates 69th Republic Day with great patriotic fervour. The celebrations started with prayers, Flag hoisting, National Anthem followed by cultural programme. Sweets were distributed amongst the children.
Diwali celebrations
This year, children celebrated pollution free Diwali in Bal Niketan. All children, Management and Staff members participated in Maha Laxmi Pujan in evening followed by cultural programme. Then, all enjoyed eating momos,chhole kulche and sweets.
Dussehra celebrations
Keeping the festive spirit alive,Dussehra was celebrated on 11th October at Bal Niketan, Panchkula. To mark Lord Ramas victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil,the effigy of Ravana was burnt.
Hawan ceremony
Hawan ceremony was organised in Bal Niketan. All children and Staff members participated in this religious activity with full devotion.
Drawing competition in Bal Niketan
Drawing competition was held on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. All children took actively participation in making drawings of Mahatma Gandhi and freedom fighters. Prizes were also awarded to the winners.
Raksha Bandhan celebrations
Children celebrated Raksha Bandhan in its true spirit of universal brotherhood. All children enthusiastically participated in Thali decoration, Gift wrapping, Card and Rakhi making activities.In all, it was a successful attempt to make the celebration eventful by spreading the social message.
Independence Day celebrations
The Children and Management of Bal Niketan, Panchkula came together to celebrate India’s 70th Independence Day.A special assembly was organized by the children in which they took pride in being a true Indian citizen. Bal Niketan was decorated on the theme of peace and prosperity with tri color ribbons, flowers.The flag hoisting ceremony was done in the assembly. All the children and Staff sang the National Anthem and paid their respect to the National Flag with a salute. Children sang patriotic songs and performed cultural programme. Refreshments were also given to all the children. The day ended with a proud feeling of being a free Indian.
Holi celebrations
In our continuous endeavor to instill the importance and value of each festival in our children, we at Bal Niketan celebrated the festival of Holi. They were first explained the significance of this festival.Children played eco-friendly holi with flower petals.Everyone greeted each other and gave good wishes for the festival of colors.
Republic Day celebrations
Children and Management of Bal Niketan celebrated 67th Republic Day with great patriotic fervor. All saluted the National Flag. Colorful dance performances and patriotic songs added lustre to the occasion. Sweets were distributed to all the children.
Christmas celebrations
All the children and Management of Bal Niketan celebrated Christmas with a festive spirit. The program was followed by Christmas carols and musical chair game by all the children.
Dussehra celebrations
Dussehra was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Effigy of Ravan was burnt as part of victory of Lord Ram over Ravana
Yoga class
Yoga class was held in Bal Niketan and organized by Sh. Umesh Mittal, Panchkula. All children participated in this activity.
Painting competition held in Bal Niketan
Painting competition was held in the premises of Bal- Niketan sponsored by Sushma Buildtech, Zirakpur under the CSR project. 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize winners were given 15, 10 and 5 thousand Rs. In cash to be made FDs for the Kids. Priyanka, Munna and Abhishek won the first 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.
Baisakhi celebration
Baisakhi was celebrated in the lawns of Bal Niketan with proper Gidha and Boli for Girls and Bhangra for boys.Kids were told the importance of Baisakhi and why it is celebrated in our country. Sweets were distributed to all the kids.
All Children celebrated Holi with flowers, Gujhia and dry fruits.
Lohri celebration
Lohri was celebrated with a lot of gusto and enthusiasm. The mood was upbeat and the children were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri.
All children celebrated the birth of Lord Jesus with great enthusiasm. Employees from Tk20, Chandigarh visited our "Home" and sponsored this celebration for children. Children enjoyed themselves by participating in number of games such as Musical chair ,three legged race, lemon spoon race.Later they relished the tasty refreshments & danced together.
Family Day celebration
Keeping up with the tradition, we celebrated Family Day on November 23rd this year too. Ex-wards of Bal Niketan came with their spouses and children.Children put up an excellent cultural programme choreographed by the children themselves. Songs and Jokes were also part of the programme that ended with the Bal Niketan prayer sung by all the children. This prayer is written and set to tune by our ex-ward Mr.Vikram Sharma. Snacks and lunch was served. It was indeed a great evening.
The festival of lights, ‘Diwali’, was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our "Home" wherein children performed Ganapati and Laxmi puja. They were also sensitised to celebrate Diwali with colourful lights, diyas and sweets & not with crackers as they spread pollution
The festival of Dussehra was celebrated with traditional gaiety and enthusiasm.The grand looking effigy was prepared and decorated.These were torched signifying the triumph of good over evil. The students imbibed the message – ‘Good always wins over Evil’.
