Welcome to Bal Niketan |

Bal Niketan is an Indian NGO located in the Chandigarh/Panchkula
(Haryana) region offering a "Home" for orphan, destitute and abandoned
children from Haryana and adjoining areas. As such we are not just a mere orphanage
but also take care of deprived children from the weaker sections of society. Since
1983 we have been helping children to become rehabilitated, to live with dignity
as good citizens and ultimately to stand on their own feet. We also offer free medical
facilities and vocational training. For our efforts in the field of child development
we have received the National Award for Child Welfare for the year 2000

Donations to Bal Niketan are exempt from Income Tax under Section 80 (G) of the
Income Tax Act, 1961. We also
welcome donations in kind such as school utensils, clothing, eatables etc.Would
you like to treat our children for a whole breakfast, lunch or dinner? Just "book-a-meal"
and eat together with the children at Bal Niketan!
